Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s whirlwind wedding weekend is officially winding down, as the newlyweds exchanged vows for a second time during a traditional Hindu ceremony.
The publication reports that Chopra opted for red sari and Jonas wore a customary ensemble with a turban — a stark contrast to their Ralph Lauren designs for the Western wedding on Saturday.
“It is super important to Priyanka to have an Indian ceremony that honors her heritage and culture, just as it’s important to also have a Western ceremony that honors Nick’s Christian upbringing,” a source recently told People. “They are doing both.”
The actress and singer have slowly been sharing their journey to the alter on social media over the weekend. Chopra and Jonas both posted a series of snapshots from their Mehendi pre-wedding party, with the bride wearing a colorful embroidered gown with dramatic sleeves.
Soon after, they dropped images and a short video of their families and friends competing in a Sangeet, a musical performance meets dance-off that recreates how the couple first met.
“People will need vacations after this wedding,” Chopra joked to Vogue, referencing the extravagant number of parties and ceremonies packed into a single weekend.
We are wishing the newlyweds nothing but the best!
